UPDATE 10 P.M.
Four people, including two children, were killed Tuesday night in a fiery crash in Suwannee County.
According to an updated Florida Highway Patrol release Wednesday night, the three-vehicle crashed occurred around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 90 east of 87th Drive in between Live Oak and Houston.
The updated release said a 33-year-old Live Oak was headed westbound on U.S. 90 when, for unknown reasons, his Dodge Ram pickup crossed over into the eastbound lanes and ran head first into a Kia Sorento that was eastbound.
Then pickup, according to the release, turned over onto its driver’s side and the man was thrown out of the truck and pinned beneath a tire.
A third vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was unable to stop in time after the initial collision and hit the top and hood of the pickup.
The report states all the vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the SUV, a 76-year-old Lake City woman and the two passengers in the car - 8- and 6-year-old girls - were killed. So was the driver of the pickup, who the report said was illegally in the U.S.
The driver of the Camry, a 44-year-old Live Oak man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier posted on social media on Wednesday that the driver of the pickup, Martin Lagunas Ramirez, was in possession of cocaine at the time of the crash and “was likely drunk while driving in the wrong lane.”
“We pray for the families of the innocent lives taken at the hands of those who should've never been in our country in the first place and for the FHP Troopers who respond to these horrific and tragic incidents,” Uthmeier posted on Twitter.
