The Georgia man who robbed the Days Inn north of Lake City on Sunday was arrested Monday in Jacksonville.

According to a Lake City Police Department release, the Toyota Rav 4 used as the escape vehicle from the 12:26 p.m. robbery Sunday was located by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Monday. Erien Jo’Ell Davis, a 24-year-old from Albany, Ga., was arrested without incident. Davis was charged with robbery, wearing a mask while committing a robbery and aggravated assault.

According to the LCPD, a black male wearing a blue sweatshirt with a T-shirt wrapped around his head and a mask on his face entered the Days Inn on U.S. Highway 441 early Sunday afternoon and inquired about a room.

Davis then placed a legal pad on the desk with a written note informing the clerk he had a firearm and to give him the money from the cash drawer.

After the clerk complied with his demand, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect excited the building and drove north on U.S. 441 in a gray Toyota Rav 4.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.
