Close to two hours of court proceedings did not provide enough time for Third Judicial Circuit Judge Fred Koberlein to determine whether a U.S. Congressman would be strapped with a restraining order by his former girlfriend, a beauty queen.
Miss United States Lindsey Langston is seeking a restraining order against Rep. Cory Mills after the two ended their three-year relationship on bad terms earlier this year.
During Friday’s court proceedings, Koberlein informed attorneys from both parties that the time allotted for the proceedings was exhausted and recessed the trial, asking both attorneys to give him two potential dates when the hearing could continue.
Koberlein requested that the counselors from both parties contact by his office 4 p.m. Friday with two potential dates which could be used to continue the proceedings.
“If the counselors can not agree on those dates or additional dates, then the court will pick a date,” Koberlein said. “… This hearing is in recess until we reconvene as soon as possible.”
Attorneys are requesting a total of another 90 minutes for their court presentations.
