A home in northeastern Lake City was struck by gunfire Wednesday night, although nobody was injured.
According to the Lake City Police Department, officers responded to four separate reports of gunfire in the northeastern area of the city between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
While investigating the last incident, officers found shell casings in front of a residence and bullet holes in the exterior of the house. Occupants of the residence told officers they heard multiple gunshots coming from outside. Nobody was injured.
The shell casings were collected for evidence.
During the three previous incidents, the LCDP release states officers were unable to locate any witnesses, damaged property, shell casings or any other evidence.
