The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and the Florida Gateway Fair are looking for talented performers.
The fair’s annual talent contest is Thursday at the Florida Gateway Fairgrounds, but the registration deadline is 5 p.m. today.
The first-place winner takes home $1,000 from the contest, with second place receiving $250 and third place getting $100. The three highest scoring artists for the final round will be determined by judges’ scoring with winners announced and awarded the night of competition.
The talent contest entry fee is $15 and the contest is for amateurs only. No contestants are allowed who have recording deals.
Entrants may be either a solo or duet to sing, sing and play music or only play music.
Contestants are required to come prepared with cords for their music instruments, have their recorded music on a phone and be prepared to perform four of their best songs if needed. All contestants will receive two free admission passes to the fair. All other family members and friends will be subject to the regular admission fee of $15.
