A search of a home just north of Columbia High School led to one arrest and the seizure of multiple drugs and firearms.
According to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office release, deputies assisted the Probation and Parole Office with an investigation into firearms and illegal narcotics at a residence off SE Lakeside Glen, which is just north of the CHS campus off S. Marion Ave., on Friday.
The Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force investigation led to obtaining a search warrant, which was executed later Friday.
The search turned up multiple types of narcotics, according to the CCSO release, items consistent with the sale of narcotics including cash, and two firearms.
Dante Rolle, 27, was arrested for trafficking in oxycodone, possession with intent to sell cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and probation violation.
