Suwannee County added 14 new covid-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total up to 47. Meanwhile, Columbia County reported 16 cases, up from 15 the day prior.
The latest confirmed Suwannee County cases include a 22-year-old woman, a 56-year-old woman, a 56-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman, a 67-year-old man, a 66-year-old woman, a 59-year-old man, a 73-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman.
Nine of the new cases are related to a prior case, health officials said, but it is not clear if they are linked to a cluster of 28 cases at Suwannee Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The Columbia County cases involve patients as young as 1 to as old as 70. Seven are men, while nine are women.
In Suwannee County, the youngest is 5-years-old while the oldest is 84. Eleven are men, 36 are women.
Meanwhile, Lafayette County saw its first confirmed case Wednesday, a 47-year-old woman. The case is connected to an existing positive case, health officials say.
A total of 325 tests were reported for Columbia County as of Wednesday, with 295 testing negative.
One test was inconclusive, while 13 are pending.
For Suwannee County, the numbers were: 234 tests, with 187 negatives and no inconclusive or pending tests.
