An Amber Alert was issued Thursday evening for a Lake City teen that has been missing since Tuesday.
Ashlynn Cox, a 16-year-old, was last seen Tuesday in the area of the 180th block of SE Beech Street in Lake City. The 5-foot-3, 150-pound Cox, was wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans and white and lime Adidas shoes when she was last seen. Cox, who is white, has black hair and brown eyes.
According to the Amber Alert, authorities believe she may be in the company of 27-year-old Jesse Hammersla, who was last seen wearing a blue plaid, short-sleeved, button-down shirt and blue plaid shorts.
Hammersla and Cox may be traveling in a 2001 gold Toyota Sienna with the Florida tag 9466AS. According to authorities, the Sienna has a dent of front passenger side and a sitcker on the bottom left and right rear windshield. The vehicle also has no hubcaps with tires that appear all black.
According to the Amber Alert, the pair may be in the Jacksonville area.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help Wednesday in locating Cox and 14-year-old Alyssah Tyler, believing the pair had run away together.
Sgt. Steven Khachigan, a spokesman for the CCSO, said Thursday that Tyler has been found safe.
