Columbia’s girls swim team topped Union County 100-51 and Bishop Snyder 88-72 while losing to Baker County 122-88 in a quad meet on Thursday.

Casey Fair won the 100 butterfly for CHS and placed second in the 200 IM (2:34.27), while also swimming on the 200 freestyle relay team with Brie Fair, Luciana Tonetti and Izzy Scott that placed second with a time of 2:02.72. Other notable finishes included Brie Fair placing second in the 100 breaststroke (1:28.36), Izzy Scott placing third in both the 50 freestyle (31.41) and 100 freestyle (1:13.59), and Tonetti placing third in the 100 backstroke (1:33.24).

Columbia’s boys team lost to Bishop Snyder 136-9 and Baker County 96-11, while Union County didn’t have a boys team. Arthur Vanderpool had a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (32.30) and 100 freestyle (1:16.20) as the lone male swimmer for CHS.

BOYS GOLF

— Columbia 167, Trinity Christian 177: Connor Williams shot a 34 for medalist honors to lead the Tigers over the Conquerors on Thursday at Bent Creek Golf Course. Trenton Kirby added a 41, Adyn Petit had a 45 and Landen Stapleton carded a 47 for CHS.

GIRLS GOLF

— Columbia 170, Buchholz 187: Karlee Gainey shot a 38 for co-medalist honors to lead the Tigers to a win over the Bobcats on Thursday at Quail Heights. Alison O’Brien carded a 41, Rayna Hardin finished with a 45, and Megan Ruwe rounded out the scoring with a 46.

VOLLEYBALL

— Branford 3, Suwannee 0: The Class 1A No. 2 Buccaneers (13-1) swept the Bulldogs (7-7) at home Thursday night, winning 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

— Lafayette 3, Madison County 0: The Hornets (6-3) swept the Cowboys (2-7) at home Thursday night, winning 25-8, 25-14, 25-11.

— Cedar Key 3, Fort White 1: The Indians (1-7) lost to the Sharks (4-2) in fourth set at home Thursday night, falling 25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18.
