BASEBALL

— Trenton 13, Fort White 0: The Indians (11-11) were held to one hit and run-ruled by the Tigers (10-10) in five innings at home. Kenton Haase allowed six earned runs on three hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings, Luiz Ortiz gave up five runs — three earned — on three hits and four walks in 1 1/3 innings, and Cadan Hall surrendered two unearned runs on a hit and two walks in 1 1/3 innings.

— Lafayette 7, Union County 5: The Class 1A No. 3 Hornets (17-2) rallied with a five-run fifth inning to beat the Tigers (11-12) at home for their fifth straight win. JT Cook, Brayden Richardson and Garrett Taylor each had two RBIs, while Bryson Herron had one. Taylor also pitched five innings for the win, allowing four runs — two earned — on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

SOFTBALL

— Suwannee 8, Chiefland 1: Rachel Smith hit a 2-RBI double, Felicity May went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a triple, and Secora Pickles also drove in a run to lead the Bulldogs (13-9) past the Indians (8-12) at home. Gracie Watley pitched a complete game in the win, finishing with 12 strikeouts while allowing an earned run on five hits.
