BASEBALL

Suwannee 6, Leon 2: Colton Rogers went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and PJ Davis drove in one run on a 2-for-3 night to lead the Bulldogs (12-6-1) past the Lions (8-13) on the road. Logan Brooks allowed two earned runs on six hits in the start before Kyler Watson relieved him and pitched four scoreless innings, allowing four hits while striking out five.

 Madison County 7, Branford 3: Gavin Barnes allowed five earned runs on six hits and five walks in 3 2/3 innings as the Buccaneers (7-11) fell to the Cowboys (12-8) at home. Camden Gaskins and Troy Roberts each had an RBI in the loss.

Fort White 6, Eastside 0: Cadan Hall went 2 for 4 with two RBIs while Hayden Adams, Carson Capallia and Garrett Depaola each had an RBI to lead the Indians (11-9) past the Rams (3-15) on the road. Tucker Flynn pitched six innings and allowed only three hits in the win, striking out nine and walking just two.

Lafayette 10, Gainesville 0: Hyatt Richardson delivered three RBIs, Trevor Byrd added two RBIs, and JT Cook, Lathan Garrard, Garrett Taylor and Noah Lamb each drove in one run to lead the Class 1A No. 3 Hornets (15-2) to a run-rule win over the Hurricanes (6-13) in five innings at home. Taylor pitched all five innings and threw a one-hitter in the win, striking out seven.

SOFTBALL

— Santa Fe 10, Columbia 2: The Class 3A No. 10 Raiders (15-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead through four innings against Harleigh Price and then knocked around reliever Kinley King in the fifth to hand the Tigers a road loss. Price had allowed three earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six before CHS turned to King, who allowed the final seven runs — five in the fifth — on five hits and a pair of walks. The Tigers did cut the deficit to 7-2 in the top of the sixth thanks to a pair of RBIs from Lauryn Lee and Sakiya Merriex, but they were held to just four hits on the night.

Suwannee 10, Buchholz 0: Gracie Watley tossed a one-hitter and walked just two while striking out 12 to lead the Bulldogs (11-9) to a run-rule win over the Bobcats (10-10) in six innings on the road. Caudence Jenkins had two RBIs while Kirsten Yaun, Rachel Smith, Braylyn Federico, Allyson Royero, Maylee Gabey and Brianna Woods all drove in a run for SHS, which finished with 16 hits that included two apiece from Haley Law, Yaun, Jenkins, Smith, Royero, Gabey and Woods.
