BASEBALL

— IMG Academy Black 11, Columbia 8: The Tigers (10-10) battled back from a 5-run deficit to take an 8-7 lead, but the Ascenders (16-4) scored two runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth to snap the Tigers’ 4-game winning streak on their Senior Night. Grant Bowers started on the mound for CHS and suffered the loss, allowing nine runs —two earned — on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Bowers went 3 for 4 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs, and Ayden Phillips also homered and had two RBIs on a 2-for-3 night. JD Dumas added another RBI while going 2 for 2 in the loss.

— Fort White 12, Bradford 11: The Indians (10-9) tied the game in the bottom of the seventh and then walked off with a win over the Tornadoes (7-10) in the ninth at home. Tucker Flynn went 2 for 6 with three RBIs in the victory and Kenton Haase had two RBIs, while Aaron Parnell and Garrett Depaola each drove in a run. Luiz Ortiz picked up the win in relief, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out three in 4 2/3 innings.

SOFTBALL

— Columbia 10, Dixie County 0: Lillyenne Mayhew (3 for 4), Harleigh Price (2 for 4) and Josie Raulerson (2 for 4) all had two RBIs and a double to lead the Tigers (10-9) to a run-rule win over the Bears (2-12) in six innings at home. Anna Dansby and Alex Collins also drove in a run. Raulerson tossed a 2-hitter in the circle, walking three and striking out two.
