SOFTBALL

— Williston 6, Columbia 5: The Tigers (9-8) let a 5-3 lead slip away in the seventh inning and they fell to the Class 1A No. 7 Red Devils (12-10) on the road for the second time this season. Harleigh Price allowed all six runs — five earned — on seven hits and five walks while striking all seven. Price also went 3 for 3 at the plate while Josie Raulerson finished 3 for 4 with a two-run home run for CHS, which also got two RBIs from Kimber Long and another from Lillyenne Mayhew.

— Trenton 11, Branford 7: Laila Arnold gave up nine runs — five earned — on five hits and five walks in four innings as the Class 1A No. 5 Buccaneers (16-6) fell to 1A No. 1 Tigers (16-2) on the road for the second time this season. Cloey Criggall went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and a home run, Morgan Brennan had two RBIs, and Madyson Sikes and Alex Whitfield each drove in one run in the loss.

— Suwannee 10, Bell 0: Brianna Woods went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Rachel Smith, Secora Pickles, Felicity May, Braylyn Federico, Haley Law and Allyson Royero each drove in a run to lead the Bulldogs (10-8) to a run-rule win over BHS (7-8) in six innings at home. Gracie Watley pitched all six frames for SHS, striking out eight batters and allowing only four hits.

BASEBALL

— Branford 9, Saint Francis Catholic 3: Colby Beard had three RBIs, Dawson Cannon hit a solo home run, and Austin Humphries and Tucker Floyd each drove in a run to lead the Buccaneers (7-9) past the Wolves (10-6) at home. Floyd pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs — one earned — on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts to pick up the win.
