BASEBALL

— Fort White 7, Hamilton County 1: Patrick Kennedy and Elias Byrd each had two RBIs while Carson Capallia drove in another run as the Indians (7-6) beat the Trojans (1-11) on the road in District 6-1A despite only three hits. Aaron Parnell pitched six innings for the win, allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks with 11 strikeouts.

— Trenton 8, Branford 2: Gavin Barnes surrendered three earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five in four innings before Kyler Williamson allowed five runs — two earned — on three hits and three walks as the Buccaneers (5-6) lost to the Tigers (6-8) on the road.

SOFTBALL

— Fort White 5, Chiefland 1: The Class 1A No. 2 Indians (8-2) took advantage of three errors for five unearned runs to take down CHS (5-8) at home despite only registering three hits. Kadence Compton went the distance in the circle for the win, striking out 12 while allowing an earned run on six hits and two walks.

— Gainesville 2, Suwannee 1: Gracie Watley struck out 11 and allowed no earned runs on five hits and a walk in a complete-game effort, but the Bulldogs (7-6) fell to the Class 5A No. 4 Hurricanes (12-1) on the road. Rachel Smith had the lone RBI on a 2-for-3 night for SHS.

— Taylor County 3, Lafayette 2: Clara Knight allowed three runs — two earned — on six hits and a pair of walks while striking out four, but the Hornets (7-10) lost to the Bulldogs (9-3) at home. She also went 2 for 2 at the plate with an RBI.

FLAG FOOTBALL

— Baker County 13, Columbia 6: The Tigers (2-5) lost their fourth straight, falling to the Wildcats (2-5) on the road.
