— South Lake 8, Suwannee 2: Connor Thompson had an RBI but the Bulldogs (4-6) lost to the Eagles (6-7) on the road Friday night. Logan Brooks pitched four innings in the loss, allowing five runs — three earned — on six hits and three walks with a pair of strikeouts.

— Lafayette 10, Newberry 0: Hyatt Richardson threw a 2-hitter and the Hornets (9-1) run-ruled the Panthers (5-5) in six innings at home Friday night. Richardson walked just one while striking out seven and he got plenty of run support from Lane Brock, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs. Hunter Vann also went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Dawson Mock added an RBI with a double, scoring two runs. Matthew Jenkins scored two runs as well on a 2-for-3 night.
