BARTOW — Columbia fell to Kathleen 47-45 in the Mosaic Stinger Shootout at Bartow High School on Saturday morning in its regular-season finale.

Jeremy Nixon scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Rashard Kelly added 11 to lead the Red Devils (4-19) to a rare win this season. Jerome Groves added seven points and Jalzaih Battle chipped in with six points and seven boards for Kathleen, which rallied from four down at the end of the third quarter.

The Tigers (14-11) were outscored 19-13 in the fourth. Only Jalen Gaskins finished in double figures for CHS, recording a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Zamarion Jones and Bobby Wilson added eight points apiece.

Columbia now travels to Rickards to face the winner of Clay-Ridgeview on Thursday in the District 2-5A semifinals at 6 p.m.
