TALLAHASSEE — Florida saw an uptick in its unemployment rate in October after deadly Hurricane Ian swept through Southwest Florida, while the labor force continues to grow, according to numbers released Friday. The state Department of Economic Opportunity said the unemployment rate was 2.

LIVE OAK — The past will come to life through song next month. As part of the Friends of Music concert series, RareSong’s eight musicians will perform at the Covenant First Presbyterian Church, 421 White Avenue SE, in Live Oak. The concert, which is free to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m.
