Florida’s Robinson out 4-6 months after foot surgery
GAINESVILLE — Florida forward Devin Robinson will be sidelined at least four months following foot surgery.
The 6-foot-9 Robinson had surgery Wednesday to repair a stress fracture in his left foot, the team announced Thursday. The Gators expect his recovery to take between four and six months, meaning he should be ready for the start of next season if he returns.
A sophomore from Chesterfield, Virginia, Robinson was the team’s fifth-leading scorer (9.0 points) and third-leading rebounder (5.6 rebounds) in 2015-16. He started 18 games, including the final nine of the season.
Robinson entered the NBA draft three weeks ago without signing with an agent, leaving open the option of returning for his junior season. Robinson has until May 25 to decide. In the meantime, he will be sidelined for pre-draft workouts.
