WHITE SPRINGS — Three people were struck by lightning, one fatally, at a popular Hamilton County mud-bogging site Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Only 25 student-athletes across the country qualify as finalists for the U.S. Army and Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence. One of them is a high school senior here in Lake City.

After stepping away from tennis for about five years, Cole Wehrli decided to try his hand again, returning to the court in his first high school season at Columbia.
