Tuesday’s paper may be very late
As Hurricane Irma approaches, we pray for the safety and well-being of everyone in the path of this storm.
Our next issue of the Lake City Reporter will be printed after the hurricane passes on Monday night.
Because of the size and scope of this storm, we won’t know until then whether we will have electricity and a computer network at our office downtown and at our company printing facility in Palatka. We may not be able to print our Tuesday edition on a regular schedule. Safety on the roads for our delivery driver and our newspaper carriers also is our top priority. Your Tuesday Lake City Reporter may not be delivered at its regular time.
If it is necessary to print at another location next week, we will do our very best to keep as close as possible to normal delivery times, but it may not be possible. And, once the paper is printed, some of the rural roads on our delivery routes will be flooded and impassable. We ask for your understanding in advance for any delivery delays as we work to restore normal operations following the storm.
We will be back to a regular operating schedule as quickly as possible.
This is an ever-changing emergency situation, so all essential information will be posted outside the paywall for anyone to access. We will be providing updates during the storm.
Shelter in place and stay safe.
