Indians hit killer Wave

Fort White falls to 1-2 after P.K. Yonge loss, 63-31.

The Fort White Indians fell to 1-2 (1-1 district) with a loss to the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave on Tuesday.

The Wave jumped out to an early lead with 29 first quarter points, while the Indians only managed nine.

Fort White would trail

50-17 at the half.


Josh Snodgrass of the Blue Wave was off to a hot start with 17 in the first two periods, but a

double-technical foul led to his ejection early in the third quarter.

The Indians made a brief run to start the second half with an 11-4 run cutting the score to 54-23.

Fort White continued to fight throughout the game, but the Wave were too strong ending with a 63-31 victory over the Indians.

“A lot of our guys were coming straight back from football, and we’ve went straight into our games without much of a

practice,” coach Isiah Phillips said.

Xavier Blake and Alexis Blake had seven points each.

Thomas Barnes and Kyle Raulerson added four points.

Roy Blake and Chandler Kitzman each had three points in the contest.

Dustin Stout and Alex Gilmer scored two points each.

The Indians travel to Newberry on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
