Ridgeview, Nease advance in playoffs
District 5-4A foes meet in re-match at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia High’s District 5 was represented well in the opening round of the Class 4A state playoffs.
Now the two teams will have to face each other.
District champion Ridgeview High beat District 6 runner-up Lake Weir High, 34-14, while Nease High rolled over District 6 champion Eastside High, 43-14, in Gainesville.
Ridgeview (7-4) will host Nease (7-3) in the Friday
re-match. Merritt Island High and Seabreeze High square off in the other region semifinal.
As for Columbia’s playoff opponents in District 3-5A, district champion Orange Park High beat District 4 runner-up Pine Ridge High, 27-7. District 3 runner-up Buchholz High was shut out by District 4 champion Mainland High, 44-0.
Undefeated Mainland hosts Orange Park (9-2) this week at Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach.
Buchholz finished the season 5-5.
Camden County High had a tougher time than usual, but got by Northside, Warner Robins, 28-20, in the third round of the Georgia 5A playoffs.
The Region 3 champion Wildcats (12-0) host Region 6 runner-up Woodstock High this week.
