The Fort White Lady Indians travelled to Keystone Heights for the first round of the state playoffs, however, the other Lady Indians were too much on this night. Keystone Heights defeated Fort White by the scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-17.

Amber Herring led the Lady Indians with six kills on the night.

Sarah Resta, Charlette Demko, and Kristal Butler each had five kills.

Butler added two blocks in the contest while playing with a sprained ankle after injuring herself in practice the night before.

Erica Rossell led the team in digs with fourteen, and Colee Rendeck had 21 assists in the match.

“We just didn’t have it on this night,” Coach Doug Wohlstein commented

following the game.

“Kristal hurt herself in practice yesterday, and tried to play through it. We just didn’t quite have it

tonight though.”

Fort White soccer

The Fort White Lady Indians soccer team defeated Madison County High 6-0 on Wednesday night. After a scoreless first half, the Lady Indians turned it on in the second to pull away with the victory.

Meghan Binge played well with two goals and an assist in the contest.

Casey Dubose scored three goals during the game.

Rebecca Onorati

continued her consistent play with a goal and an assist in the contest.

Katelyn Wilson also

contributed in the victory with an assist.

Madison didn’t have a shot on goal during the

contest as the Lady Indian’s defense continued to play strong as they have

throughout the early portion of this season.

“After a scoreless first half we came back to win 6-0,” coach Perry Sauls said following the game.

“Our defense is a strong part of our team and they continued to play well

limiting Madison’s

chances.”

Fort White hosts Suwannee High at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Columbia bowling

Columbia High competed in the District 2 bowling tournament in Ocala on Monday.

Forest High won the district championship over runner-up North Marion High.
