Singer and Lake City resident Brock Storm was surprised last month when he checked his MySpace page and saw a new comment from a fan, congratulating him for his appearance in the new PopStar! magazine.
He was surprised because he knew nothing about it. And even though it was late at night, he didn’t think he could wait until morning to see what this fan was talking about.
“I went to Walgreens at about 2 o’clock in the morning to buy it,” he said.
The 17-year-old discovered that he had been named to the magazine’s 150 cutest crushes list, alongside such artists as the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and other young celebrities.
“It was very shocking,” Storm said. “I take it as a huge compliment. I feel very honored to be put in the same category as the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and Jesse McCartney, I feel like it’s a really big accomplishment.”
Storm is currently on break from his most recent tour, opening for acts such as Keke Palmer and Demi Lovato, before he returns to the road again next week with a Radio Disney concert in New Jersey.
He will begin touring again in November.
He called his performance with Lovato — which took place in early August — a crazy experience.
“Girls were screaming so loudly I couldn’t even hear my tracks,” he said.
