TAMPA — Craig Austrie’s 12-foot runner in the lane with less than a second left in overtime Saturday gave Connecticut its ninth straight win.
A.J. Price scored 23 points, including the Huskies’ first five in the overtime.
Dominique Jones converted his own miss with 6 seconds left to give South Florida (11-15, 2-11 Big East) a 73-72 lead.
Austrie, who had two points in the first 37 minutes, dribbled nearly the length of the court and made the game-winner for the Huskies (20-5, 9-3) with .2 seconds left.
Kentrell Gransbury had 26 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulls.

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Mario Chalmers had 13 points and No. 3 Kansas held Colorado’s Richard Roby to just two Saturday in the Jayhawks’ 25th straight win at home over the Buffaloes.
The Jayhawks (24-2, 9-2 Big 12) scored 23 points off turnovers and outrebounded the overmatched visitors 38-24.

ATHENS, Ga. — Chris Lofton scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half and Wayne Chism had 16 points for Tennessee, which stretched its winning streak to seven games.

3-point range before halftime, but the senior hit five 3 in the second half, pushing his Southeastern Conference-record total to 398.
